Reunited ~ Urgent Appeal to find Petula!

30 August 2011: Fantastic update. Read earlier that Petula has been found and is now in a new home:-) I wish her and her new family many years of happiness together.

Hello! I am posting this urgent appeal to help find Petula, a beautiful three year old female Lurcher who was taken from her kennel at Bath Cats and Dogs Home after hours on Friday 24 June 2011.

Please keep a look out for Petula, wherever in the UK you are. She is white with distinctive black markings on her head and is microchipped. The Home says she is extremely hand shy and very nervous, so if you do see her/have any information about her disappearance, please contact the Home as a matter of urgency on 01225 787 321 or 07760 713 104 (out of hours).

I have said hello to her a few times in her run, but haven’t had the pleasure of meeting her properly or photographing her, so I have “borrowed” the photos below from the Home’s website and from a volunteer who has set up a facebook group to Find Petula, to help spread the word.

Petula’s details are posted on the Home’s website, on the above facebook group and on the marvellous DogLost, a website which helps to reunite lost, stolen and found dogs with their loving owners. Petula’s DogLost page can be found here and you can share that link to facebook or twitter and/or print posters via a link on that page.

Please spread the word and help get her back to the rescue safely, very soon. Thank you.
