Help me kick my Coke habit!

Hello animal lovers! We need your help! My husband and I have decided to try to kick our Coke habit to raise funds for Bath Cats & Dogs Home’s 75th anniversary challenge! Please click HERE to make a donation via our Just Giving page.

Regular readers of my blog will know that I am a pet photographer who volunteers at Bath Cats & Dogs Home, taking photographs of some of the animals there to help them find their forever homes, which I then feature on this blog.

My husband is a singer and guitarist. Now, generally when you think of musicians and habits, you’d be thinking of something slightly erm, illegal! However we have a Coke habit of a different kind and have decided to give up the fizzy drink for the month of September, to raise funds for the Home.

We are more than a little embarrassed to admit this, but we generally drink at least sixty cans between us each month, sometimes more. Google reveals there are around ten teaspoons of sugar in just one can, which is rather unhealthy!

Cutting out the regular consumption of Coke for a whole month is going to be pretty tough for us, so please make a donation to encourage us and to help the wonderful animals at Bath Cats & Dogs Home!

My husband, ready to kick his habit!

£75 will feed a dog at the Home for two months or run a heatlamp for the winter, helping an animal to stay warm while they await their forever home. The more money donated, the more we will be able to help the animals, so all donations will be very gratefully received.  We also hope that this challenge will help generate a little more publicity for rescue animals and hopefully encourage a few more people to adopt their next pet from a rescue organisation near them.

We are starting this challenge for the two beautiful rescue dogs we have so far adopted from the Home and for all the other animals (which include many dogs, cats, smaller animals and ex-battery hens) that the Home helps. We’re sure it will benefit our health too!
