Our month without Coke …

Some of you may have read my earlier blog post about my husband and I kicking our Coke habit for the month of September, to raise funds for our local rescue centre, Bath Cats & Dogs Home.

We successfully remained Coke-free for the whole month and raised an incredible £1049.63!

You can still donate if you’d like to; just click HERE. Thank you very much  indeed to everyone who made a donation. We are absolutely delighted with the result and, having suffered many cravings for cola during the last month, we know we wouldn’t have managed to stay Coke free without your generous donations.

Bath Cats & Dogs Home enabled us to adopt two of our wonderful dogs and has helped thousands of animals over the years, including dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens. If you are looking to adopt a new pet into your family, do take a look at the animals they have for adoption. The Home helps dogs from young puppies through to real oldies and they help a lot of Bullbreeds, so do consider adopting one of their gorgeous Staffies if you can provide a loving, responsible home:)You can see a few of the dogs they have for adoption, by looking through my blog (click on the Dogs Needing Homes link to the left).

We do intend to maintain a reduction in the consumption of cola, now that we have had a month to break the habit, but I confess, we did open these at approximately 00:03 this morning!
