What a difference four months makes …

The lovely Jasper Bear has been with us four months now, since we brought him home as an emergency foster for Oldies Club on New Year’s Eve and fell in love with him. Didn’t see that one coming:lol:

I’ve been looking at the photographs I’ve taken of him over the months and wanted to share these two. The first was taken on a walk the day after he arrived. The second just over a week ago, just after he’d played with a toy for the first time since he’d been here (photographs of that to follow at some point :)).

Now I know it’s only two photos, the light is different etc., but there is such a contrast, isn’t there? He was so sad when he arrived, after losing his previous owner and doggie friend and just wanted to go “home”. It really was heartbreaking:(Well now home is here and we are his family and he truly seems to be a happy Jasper Bear again. Some people have commented that with every new set of photos he seems to be getting younger – we think they may be onto something there:)

If you’re thinking of getting a dog – look into rescue and make one smile again:)

He’s a testament to you and to the loving spirit of dogs. And he has the most beautiful eyes since my Nellie Bean :) In fact they’re very similar in their intensity!

Wow, the difference really is incredible. He just looks absolutely content and joyous in that last one – such a heartwarming sight :)

Brilliant. Photos say it all, and lead you to the best conclusion I have ever heard.

His eyes tell the whole story in both pictures. What a lucky boy to get a second chance! There really is nothing to compare to seeing a dog go from utterly terrified and scared to happy and comfortable. I can’t imagine my life without a rescue dog in it!
