Adopted! ~ Sweet, Sweet Silvia & the Space Lobber ~

February 2013 ~ I am so, so pleased to be able to post that Silvia has been adopted. I wish you much happiness in your forever home, beautiful girl. It was a real pleasure to meet you:-)

A little while back I was delighted to have the chance to meet and photograph a beautiful girl – Sweet Silvia, who is being rehomed by Bath Cats & Dogs Home. Silvia is a ten year old (or young, see the photos and video below!) female Staffie (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) who seeks a fabulous forever home.

Isn’t she adorable?

Silvia likes to have a snuffle, making a little piggy noise as Staffies often like to – it’s very cute! The rescue says she is a friendly girl (I agree – she is just lovely!) and that she’s independent. I found her very endearing and it was a real joy to see her happily rolling around in the paddock:)

I wasn’t sure if Silvia would want to play with the toys I keep for photographing the dogs at the Home, but she was very much up for having a play.

Seeing her rolling around with the tuggy and wondering what on earth the Space Lobber was, brought a big smile to my face – and hers:)

Silvia is very energetic for her age and the Home says she can be nervous and also a bit on the boistrous side. She is a real sweetie though.

Are you going to share the joke, Silvia?:)

Silvia is looking for a special home where she is the only pet and where any children are sensible and aged 12+ as she has probably not been around children before. She does try to chase small animals when out on walks.

The Space Lobber did very well – until we had an Oops moment …

We’re not quite sure what happened after that, are we Silvia? I suspect a norty dog snuck into the paddock and de-stuffed the toy, while we weren’t looking, but thankfully Silvia was on hand to help tidy things up. At least I think that’s what she was doing:lol:

I must at this point reassure readers that I am an ultra-responsible dog owner and the bits of the Space Lobber were promptly removed to ensure her safety. But I couldn’t let this photo opportunity pass by, could I?

Santa Silvia?

Silvia is strong on the lead and needs to wear a harness when being walked. The Home advises that when she sees other dogs she will stop still (as she did below), but is not good with them when they approach her, so a new owner would need to be responsible when out and about.

Silvia really is a sweet girl, with a beautiful face and Staffie smile. She deserves a truly wonderful forever home and I SO hope this happens for her very soon.
