Me and Mr Moo

As some of you know, we found a very worrying lump on our precious black Lab boy recently and due to the position of the lump + his age + other health worries, we made the decision, in discussion with the vet, that it wouldn’t be in Mr Moo’s interest to operate.

We were back at the vet yesterday for a check-up. Not much fun for the poor boy, having to have an examination there, but he was very good and was rewarded with tuna cake afterwards.

The very good news is that the lump hasn’t grown significantly in the 11 days-ish since the vet first examined him. It may have grown a little, but not substantially. I am, of course, still believing it can and will shrink away.

We are to keep monitoring him, adding the things to his food that help things move along more easily and, most importantly, ensuring he continues to enjoy life. We are bringing him off the steroids, because we felt the negative effect was starting to outweigh potential benefit.

Thank you, so much, to everyone who is keeping Mr Moo in their thoughts. He is a most precious boy. I have felt at times over the last 11 days or so that my heart is being torn into tiny pieces all over again, but I must remain positive for my boy. He deserves the best.

Brilliant news.I know how hard it can be to stay positive but so important, for our furry friends as much as us.Doing my best to make my lovely old girl’s remaining time, however long that is,the best it can be.She’s been such a treasure for so many years, recently lost her best pal and still a beautiful, caring girl.I know we’ll never have this time together again,so it’s very precious.Know what you mean about the lapses though!Just aswell it’s all worthwhile, whatever it does to us.Love to your precious Mr Moo.All good wishes to you all.Thinking of you.JaniceX.Jay sends a big good wishes ‘woof’ to Mr Moo.

Hang in there, Mr. Moo. As long as it isn’t painful, it is not a worry for him, just for you. Some bumps are just not convenient to remove. Hopefully it is just an old dog bump and nothing to worry about.
