Free chocolate!

Thought that might grab your attention:-)

I’ve decided to do a little blog giveaway. It’s 10 months this weekend since we brought Jasper home and that seems as good a reason as any.

So I’m giving away a yummy little pack of chocolate (humans only, toxic to dogs!); a Rescue Me wristband so that you can help promote adopting from rescue :); and a selection of my photographic greetings cards. If you click on the gallery below you can see all the goodies, which will be sent to one lucky person. I will include one card of each of the featured designs.

To have a chance of winning, all you need to do is add a nice comment at the end of this post and include a valid email address. Your comment can just be a hello, you can tell me about your dog, let me know which photo(s) of mine you like, what your favourite chocolate is, anything nice really. Spam will be deleted. Your email address won’t be used for anything else (just to notify the winner) and I won’t be passing your details to anyone else of course.

I’ll leave this open until Sunday 7 November 2010 and then one of the people who have left a comment, will be selected at random to win the chocolate, wristband and cards. I look forward to hearing from you:-)

OOOH – I love chocolate, especially powdered cocoa! My favorite photo is the one of Jasper to my far right on your header, who, though a senior, to me looks so young. What I really like is your support of the Oldies Club. It is reminiscent of my hound sanctuary. I have had a puppy or two but avoid them as my work hours do not fit into the needs of very young puppies. My personal preference is for senior hounds and adults. Wish I could send you some photos :). Email is houndsandhome AT gmail.com. Here’s the rub: I cannot swallow thanks to multiple cancer surgeries (cancer free for 11 years!); all my chocolate comes as cocoa which I mix with my coffee, cinnamon, vanilla, and tube feeding. I may not be able to taste it but hmmm, I can still SMELL it :).

Angela,

Chocolate and rescue dogs. Two of my favorites. Love your website and blog. You are a blessing to all those sweet, sweet dogs. It’s been a great pleasure meeting and getting to know you in class. You are an inspiration to me. Special hugs to Jasper.

Hi :-)
I have recently discovered your blog and your pictures, both of which I enjoy…I also enjoy chocolate! ;-)
I love photos of black dogs. Why…well because black dogs are difficult to photograph (yet you do it so well) and because I share my ife with two black dogs. Well, one is brown/grey most of the time but that’s the mud…it’s also another story!
One of my dogs is a rescue, she used to be a working gundog in a previous life, although how much work she actually did is questionable. Bless her, she is finding the fireworks difficult, indeed I slept with her on my head last night (she weighs in at 31kg). Not easy..so I am pretty tired to be honest and could do with a chocolate pick me up :-) I think the chocolate would also help me to chill and so pass the right vibes to her!!! :-)

Seriously…I like you blog lots and I love the message you send out so eloquently about rescue dogs, there is nothing quite like them. xxx

Beautiful photos, obviously taken with love. If you’re ever up here please give me a shout and you can get muddy with the Phoenyx Hounds! x

I think if you could draw the word LOVE then it would have four legs and a waggy tail. And if you could draw the word HAPPINESS then it would be black, black as the most beautiful onyx, with amber eyes that belied a soul full of fun and laughter and a deep love of tennis balls.

Love = Dog
Happiness = Minnie

A dog called Minnie + tennis ball = love and happiness and a ray of welcome sunshine on my screen
