25 August: Found out today that gorgeous Quiz has been adopted
I’d love you all to join me in wishing the beautiful Quiz a very Happy 10th Birthday and keeping fingers and paws crossed that she receives everything on her Wish List, especially a new forever home.
Quiz is a ten year old female German Shepherd Dog (GSD), who has been at Bath Cats & Dogs Home for over three years now. This beautiful, gentle and sensitive girl was part of a court case filed against her owner by the RSPCA, after being one of a number of dogs kept in an overcrowded home and not given proper care and attention
I knew that Quiz can be quite shy when meeting new people, but that she is a friendly girl once she gets to know someone. I think my home-made tuna cake helped convince her I was a friendly person who just wanted to get to know her a little. She was not my easiest subject to photograph so far, but I hope these photos will help someone amazing, who is able to offer her the wonderful home she seeks, fall in love with her. Quiz is a very special girl.
Quiz is looking for a quieter home without young children and can live with children aged 12+. She can live with another dog(s), following a successful introduction and needs a kind and patient owner who will help her to adjust to living in a home after spending most of her life in a kennel.

The rescue says that Quiz tends to bond more with one person, although she is friendly towards everyone she knows. Having spent a little time with her, I do believe if you are the right person/family, that you will be rewarded over and over by opening your heart and home to this sweet girl.
The rescue advises that Quiz is quite strong on the lead and wears a harness. She dislikes wearing a Halti and will scratch it off straight away, so her new family will need to continue walking her on a harness. This lovely girl gets very insecure when she’s away from the rescue and is always wanting to come back, so she will need time to settle with her new family and realise that she is now home for good.

The rescue says Quiz mixes better with other dogs when off-lead (as do many other dogs!). When on lead she does tend to lunge and bark at other dogs, though this is just a front and she doesn’t mean them any harm.

Quiz may be 10 now, but she’s still able to spring into action when she wants to!

My overall impression of Quiz is that she is a very gentle and sweet girl who really deserves to find a special home of her very own. I think she will make a fabulous addition to the right family and I so hope she finds that special someone(s) very soon. Good luck Quiz!
